4/20/2023 0 Comments Pathfinder tiny witch transparent![]() One writer went out explaining that she purposefully writes in her political takes in her stories and she will never stop doing that. This caused some heavy "we" vs "them" and just further escalated things. Tons of removed profiles from bans making the threads look like a cheese and pretty much unreadable. You can still see this in old threads on beamdogs forum. People were being banned left and right for any critique regarding Mizhena or the writing. There has been changes since then to her dialogue. There was also a big thread by a (alleged)transperson criticizing beamdogs attempt at inclusivity as being heavy handed. So even if you so played a murder-hobo and killed everyone up to that point you were now forced to be interested in this transpersons life, if you initiated the dialogue. Mizhena's dialogue was very linear and basically forced the player to be understandable and want to learn more. People were not happy about them meddling in the story to begin with and then it launched like this. Bugs, crashes, quests that didn't work(this one was real bad because of how intricate quests are in SoD), multiplayer that straight up just would not function for more than a few minutes, or at all. And a character simply being trans wasn't the main issue.ĭragonspear launched in an absolutely atrocious state. And I remember the shit-storm on beamdogs forums following this. Yes the dialogue wasn’t amazing, but this is SoD we’re talking about so that’s hardly an expectation. I think the choice to include a trans character was fine, and people certainly overreacted to it, as including a trans character isn’t inherently bad, and the implementation of the character was no better or worse than any of the other characters. I’m of the opinion that SoD is a very mid game, and one that I haven’t replayed in a few years. Neither me nor my father even found out Mizhena was trans until our second playthroughs. Every video or review would almost always have a section dedicated to Mizhena and I distinctly remember a video of somebody murdering Mizhena, with all the comments praising the video.Ĭonsidering the character barely had any dialogue and was overall a minor part of the game, it was certainly strange that so many people became fixated on her, especially given the numerous other issues with the game. Whilst yes there was a lot of things other than Mizhena that people were angry about, it cannot be denied that Mizhena was something people fixated on a lot. Missiles, weapons, and most spell effects can pass through the hut without affecting it, although the occupants cannot be seen from outside the hut (they have total concealment).Holy shit this thread is giving me flashbacks to 2016 lmao, it seems even now no one can agree on the facts. Although the force field is opaque from the outside, it is transparent from within. You can illuminate it dimly upon command or extinguish the light as desired. The hut withstands any wind of less than hurricane force, but a hurricane (75+ mph wind speed) or greater force destroys it. The hut also provides protection against the elements, such as rain, dust, and sandstorms. An exterior temperature below 0° or above 100° lowers or raises the interior temperature on a 1-degree-for-1 basis. The temperature inside the hut is 70° F if the exterior temperature is between 0° and 100° F. However, if you remove yourself from the hut, the spell ends. As many as nine other Medium creatures can fit into the field with you they can freely pass into and out of the hut without harming it. Half the sphere projects above the ground, and the lower hemisphere passes through the ground. You create an unmoving, opaque sphere of force of any color you desire around yourself. ![]()
